ICG-PULSION is a fluorescent dye. It is intended for intravenous injection. Once injected into the blood stream ICG-Pulsion will circulate through the whole body and will accumulate in different amounts, depending on the blood-circulation to the respective organs or tissue.
The absorption and emission spectrum of ICG-Pulsion are both in the near infrared range. For this reason it can be detected and quantified by optical procedures. Measurement can be performed invasively with a fiber-optic catheter or non-invasively through the skin. Therefore, ICG-PULSION fits excellently in PULSION's less invasive product group. ICG-PULSION is used for non-invasive measurement of liver function and splanchnic perfusion monitoring with the LiMON–Technology and measurement of non-invasive tissue perfusion with PDE. It is not required for hemodynamic monitoring with the PiCCO-Technology.
Packaging
ICG-PULSION is available in 2 different vial sizes: 25 mg and 50 mg per vial. Each vial contains 25 mg or 50 mg indocyanine green dye (dry powder), respectively in a 25 ml vial;
ICG-PULSION is supplied in packs of 5 vials of freeze-dried substance. ICG-PULSION is a prescription only medicine.
